In an attempt to keep myself writing on this mutha’, I’m coming up with segments that will allow me to write about things I care about way too much. Example: Music.  I rock my iPod hard (like most people do) and I have decided to share the top 5 songs I’m currently indulging in.

1. BeautifulEminem : I’m still torn on my opinion on the new Marshal Mathers album. I’m an Eminem fan from way back so I have all sorts of high expectations from the dude so theres a complete chance that I’m expecting too much.  Fact is though, I’m rocking a few songs pretty hard so he must’ve done something right. An example? Beautiful.  The song has a sample from Paul Rodgers that made me actually go look up the original song. The song samples lyrics strikes a chord with me.

“Lately I’ve been hard to reach, I’ve been too long on my own. Everybody has a private world where they can be alone. Are you calling me? Are you trying to get through? Are you reaching out for me? And I’m reaching out to you.”

2. Maybach MusicRick Ross Featuring T-Pain, Lil Wayne and Kanye West : I can’t explain to you why I would possibly like this song. This song is absolutely ridicluous Maybach music? T-Pain is auto-tuning his ass off with the the words “This is the realest thing I ever wrote!” when referring to, ahem, this Maybach music. This song works for me simply because of the sheer idiocy that you have to accept to go with it. Oh Rick Ross, you’re such a BOSS!

3. AyoMethod Man and Redman:  No explaination for the love of this Red and Meth callobo. It just hot. Come on, argue…

4. Grind Hard  - Jadakiss Featuring Mary J. Blige : I’m not a Jadakiss fan. I think he really needs to relax. Stop the complaining about how you’re not respected. Just fucking rap for christs sake. But collaborating with a fellow yonkers native to put this song out works for me. The beat is pretty hot and Mary makes it worth while.

5. Ebony EyesRick James and Smokey Robinson : Yeah, thats right. This is in the mix. How can you not enjoy this song? Smokey Robinson is sitting there giving the sexiest performance of his career and then Rick James pops in occasionally to give a cocaine fused frenzie of a bridge. ITS AWESOME.  I swear by this song.

  1. Grand Master Says:

I was banging out to that Redman and Method Man for two weeks straight. Then for another week, it was 50/50 Red & Mef and Eminem.
