So the Super Bowl was yesterday (Well, was yesterday when i wrote most of this post).

I know this not because of my immense love for the game. But simply because everyone and there MAMA kept asking me from last night to this morning have I seen the fricken game. No. I didn’t see it. I didn’t see the commercials. No, I’m not anti-American. I’m just not that into the whole super bowl thingy.

Fact is, I like football. I don’t really watch it, but when I do I like it. I’m a Jets fan. Which, when you think about it, is probably why I don’t watch football that much. If your team sucks ass as much as the Jets suck ass you probably just want to pretend like there was no football season. When your favorite team sucks that much watching the Superbowl is like going to to Thanksgiving dinner with that uncle that touched you as a child. Tis not pleasant, I say.

Alas, the game has come and gone. I’ve been told on numerous occasions today that the Giants won. Yay for them. At least thats a story. People kept asking me who did i think was gonna win and I’d replay “I’m going to go with the team that hasn’t lost yet.” and lo and behold. That logic? Seems faulty in hindsight.

I think next year I will watch the dumb game. Not because I particularly want to, I just to be apart of the cool kids group on Monday. I wonder if people will ask me with the same enthusiasm about Super Tueday. “Who did you vote for!” “Did you see the election results come in!?”

For some reason? I don’t think thats going to be the case.

UPDATE : It’s Super Tuesday. Only one person has asked me about the election. Multiple people have asked me about the fricken parade.
