I’ve been hearing a lot about Last Comic Standing. It seems this year they went American Idol style and had a panel of 3 past contestants as judges. I say ‘Ive heard’ because I didn’t go this year to the big cattle call.

Why? Cause I’m a bitch.

I couldn’t gather the balls to go sit outside for 20 hours for the opportunity to say 60 seconds worth of stuff, just to be told “Not ready”

I, of course, regret this now.

I’ve been thinking to myself for the last day “I should have went.” It’s ridiculous really. But as Jill Twiss said to me the day before the audition “I can live with the “I was tortured for 12 hours and then didn’t even make it” feeling better than the “I wonder if I would have had a chance”“

I, of course, ignored these brilliant words (I know they’re brilliant because “I” said them last year when justifying to el chica why we should stand out there all night) so now I sit here hearing the stories of everyone who went out and said it was terrible and think to myself, “Man, I should be able to say if it was terrible or not”

I guess next year when it comes around I know what I have to do.
