I happened to be blog hopping and landed on Susie Felber’s blog and saw this article.

“A 65-year-old Californian woman has saved the life of her husband, 70, by fighting off an attacking mountain lion with a small log and his pen.”

A very interesting story. But this is what caught my eye.

The park, 320 miles (515km) north of San Francisco, was closed after the incident and wardens tracked down and killed a pair of lions near the trail where the attack happened.

1) Lions are just wondering around parks? How the hell did they get there? I thought they were like all exotic and shit.

2)If they are native to the area you can’t get mad at them doing shit that lions do. THEY’RE LIONS. We don’t know what the guy was doing. He might’ve been talking shit to the lion. The lion could have been just walking by and the dude was like ‘Whats up with your fur, yo. That shit looks mad ratty son!’

But still the line that caught my eye the most was

The dead cougars are undergoing tests to determine if either was responsible for the mauling.

What! What! We don’t even know if they’re guilty? If they had nothing to do with it couldn’t we at least put them in a zoo or something. We didn’t need to KILL them. Someone call PETA or something. This is some BULLSHIT.

No, I have no clue why I’m defending lions today. I must be bored.
